NEW DISTURBIA INSPIRED FACEBOOK APPLICATION: NUMBER ONE FAN

A new Facebook application has been launched to coincide with the release of Disturbia. The application; ‘Number One Fan’, takes the themes of the film to a new level allowing you to create a shrine for a friend and send anonymous stalker notes.

Within the application you can both send stalker notes and create a shrine. Sending a stalker note allows you to create a message in the visual style of a ransom note and post it to the recipient’s Facebook profile.

Making a shrine is where you get to lavish creepy attention on your friends and for them to return the favour. Your friend’s profile picture is automatically loaded into the Shrine and there’s a range of weird objects you can choose to insert – representing your feelings towards this (un)lucky person.

This application can be anonymous, so there’s great potential to mess with your friends’ heads and send out some seriously funny messages

Based on the film out this Friday, Disturbia stars Shia LaBeouf (from Transformers, Surfs Up, Indiana Jones 4). Placed under house arrest, he becomes a voyeur of his neighbours, one of which he suspects is a serial killer. But, are his suspicions merely the product of cabin fever and his overactive imagination…..
